Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions guests and homeowners ask us most about Lake Anna and Lakefront Luxury.

How do I book a property?

Browse properties at https://lakefront.luxury/properties/, select your dates and guest count, and book directly on the site. You can also book via our Airbnb and VRBO listings.

Can I bring my dog?

Some properties are pet-friendly, others are not. See the Pet Friendly collection at https://lakefront.luxury/pet-friendly/ or check the amenities on any individual property page. Pet fees and restrictions vary by property. Service animals are welcome at every home; please let us know before arrival and keep them off the furniture.

Where is Lake Anna?

Lake Anna is in central Virginia, roughly 90 minutes south of Washington, DC and 60 minutes north of Richmond. It is a 13,000-acre freshwater lake popular for boating, swimming, fishing, and lakeside vacations.

Which side of Lake Anna should we stay on, the private side or the public side?

Stay on the private side for warmer water and less boat traffic, which makes it quieter for swimming and paddleboarding. Stay on the public side to be near the marinas, waterfront restaurants, and Lake Anna State Park. Browse our Private/Warm and Public/Cool collections to compare.

Is Lake Anna a good trip for kids?

Yes. Nearly all of our homes are right on the water, with beaches and big outdoor spaces full of activities for kids of all ages, and many have game rooms inside for evenings in. Our Family Friendly homes are designed specifically for families and stocked with much of what young kids need. Nearby, kids love the State Park beach, mini golf at The Boardwalk, and Moo Thru ice cream.

Do any of your rentals include a boat dock or a private beach?

Yes. Every home in the Boat Dock collection has its own private dock, and the Private Beach collection covers homes with a shoreline of their own. Several homes offer both. Need a boat? DV Rentals LKA delivers pontoons right to your dock.

When is the best time of year to visit Lake Anna?

Summer is peak season for boating and swimming. Spring and fall stay pleasant, and homes on the private side get the benefit of warmer water later into the year. Winter is the quiet season, with lower rates and wide-open availability.

Are the pools heated?

Some of our homes have heated pools, so check the listing to see if yours does. Where a pool is heated, it stays warm whenever the pool is open, and any pool heat fee is collected at booking. The controls aren’t guest-adjustable, so message us if the water feels off.

What are the payment and cancellation terms?

We collect 50% when your booking is confirmed and the remaining balance 30 days before check-in. The standard cancellation deadline is also 30 days before arrival, and the exact terms for your stay are shown on your reservation.

Do you manage properties off the lake?

No. We manage lakefront properties at Lake Anna only.

How do I list my property with you?

Visit https://lakefront.luxury/list-with-us/ and submit the form for a free revenue estimate. Someone from our team will follow up to discuss your property.

What does it cost to have you manage my property?

Pricing is custom and depends on the property. Request a revenue estimate at https://lakefront.luxury/list-with-us/ to get specifics.

Are you the same company as other vacation rental managers at Lake Anna?

No. Lakefront Luxury operates exclusively at lakefront.luxury. We are not affiliated with other companies that use similar names.

What makes you different from a generic property manager?

We focus exclusively on Lake Anna lakefront homes. That focus is the reason for our 5-star average rating, Airbnb Superhost status, VRBO Premier Host status, and Comparent #1 ranking.
