The House
There was more than enough room for my group of 8. It rained for much of our stay but we didn't mind spending most of our time indoors because the house was so beautiful and cozy. We spent a lot of time cooking in the beautiful kitchen. The house was clean and had all the comforts of home. We loved that there was a TV in every room and plenty of sitting areas to congregate.
The Surroundings
The hot tub was magnificent, and on our last night we lit the fire pit and enjoyed chatting while indulging in s'mores. We managed to do some fishing off the private dock between rain showers, but didn't catch much.
The Host
Daniel was the best host I've ever worked with. He was very communicative and had great response times. Daniel made sure we had all the information we needed for getting to and inside the house well before our check-in. We definitely plan to visit Lake Anna again, and will not hesitate to work with Daniel again. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

This is our second stay at this property. We lived on Lake Anna (33) years ago and came back to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The entire property is stunning and the Lake is amazing. Last time we rented a pontoon boat and had a blast fishing and boating. This time we focused on kayaking and fishing. Launching the kayaks from the property's beach area was a breeze. Already planning return visits during Christmas 2024 and October 2025.

We had an amazing long weekend at this stunning Lake Anna rental! The house was incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered breathtaking views of the lake from almost every room. We especially loved the two levels of expansive balconies—one screened in to keep the bugs away, and the lower level with a hot tub that was perfect for relaxing. The dining areas were fantastic—there was a large, comfortable dining space inside, and an additional screened-in dining area on the upper balcony that made meals even more enjoyable. The downstairs area was an entertainment paradise! Our teenagers loved the movie theater, two game rooms, and a cozy bunk bed room. It was perfect for everyone to unwind. We spent hours sitting on the balcony and enjoyed evenings by the fire pit, making s’mores under the stars. The house was incredibly spacious for our group of seven, and we took full advantage of the private pier, kayaking, paddle boarding, and using the inflatables in the lake. Waking up to the sunrise over the lake each morning was magical, leaving us feeling totally relaxed and at peace. The neighborhood was quiet and serene, adding to the overall tranquility of our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms were modern and luxurious, and the chef’s kitchen was well-equipped for preparing meals and drinks. The host was fantastic and communicated with us throughout the stay, making sure everything went smoothly. Wonderful stay!

Our only issue came as a result of remnants of Hurricane Helene ... a power surge caused the hot tub to be hard down during our stay - it was very disappointing. Initially we called just to get the hot tub cleaned (strong winds blew the top partially off) ; Daniel responded right away - called the pool guy who noticed the bigger issue. The electrician was called but the damage was such that it couldn't be resolved during our stay.
On a another note, some of us tried Kayaking for the first time. (some of the seats may need a little love) , but it was an awesome experience. The home is amazingly stocked and extremely cleanand looks as good in person as online. Thank you again Daniel & Gretchen 🌻🌻🌻

I picked this location to host a bachelorette weekend where we could all relax and have plenty of space. The location was perfection, the views were beautiful and the house was very clean. Daniel and Zachary were very responsive and provided detailed information along the way. I would 10/10 recommend staying here and I would love to return the next time I stay at Lake Anna.

My family and I enjoy a great weekend here, we were at home. Everything you need to relax and enjoy the views. House has what we need. It was really clean! Daniel was amazing giving some advice and if I had a question he will reply quickly. Next time we definetily stay for like a week or so.

We had an amazing stay at Lake Anna. It’s so nice to wake up to the big windows overlooking the lake and to be able to walk out to the dock with a cup of coffee. Truly a serene location. The first day was rainy and we still had the best time swimming in the rain, cooking, and playing board games inside. The second day was perfectly sunny and we got to use the paddle boards and kayaks, play cornhole, and make smores around the fire pit at night. This place has everything you need for your family’s next lake getaway.

We rented this beautiful lake house for a weekend family retreat to celebrate our matriarch’s 75th birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience! The house was exactly as listed, with stunning views of the lake and plenty of cozy spaces for the family to gather. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for us to prepare meals together, and the spacious living areas provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. We enjoyed evenings by the fire pit, sharing stories and laughter under the stars. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend this lovely retreat for anyone looking to create special memories with loved ones!

This lake house was a gem, our group rented it for a work retreat and we’re very impressed! Check in was easy, house was fully ready for us, and the hosts were helpful before check in with restaurant and boat rental recommendations. The house was great with indoor and outdoor activities that kept our group engaged and having fun the whole time. We would absolutely utilize this space again.

We wanted to thank you for our wonderful stay this week. The property is gorgeous and the view was spectacular. Our family of 10 felt lot the property was very spacious. We never felt like we were on top of each other. There were also many activities that could be done as a family or solo. The pool table was a fun distraction as well as the movie theater. We are already looking for future dates to return.

This was our third visit to Lake Anna and by far this place was the most perfect stay. Plenty of space for multiple families to enjoy together, fun activities inside and around the house. The private beach access and water sports were a hit with the kids. I would recommend this highly for anyone who wants to enjoy Lake Anna!

It was a lovely house, it was great for our adult family gathering. We loved the game room downstairs. The hot tub and pool was nice, the view from the dock was amazing. We went in the fall so the water wasn’t warm and we weren’t able to enjoy getting into the lake. We would definitely like to come back with our kids so they could enjoy the basketball game and the air hockey table.

My fiance and I had our wedding here, 1st airbnb trip as well. This was beyond outstanding. All other airbnb has a bar that I’m not even sure they’re able to meet. Front pre book walkthroughs, communication before and after and everything else this was perfect. Any issues were communicated and the team was so cooperative. I wish I could show you how beautiful the wedding came out just so everyone could find even more reasons why this is THE location for your family trip, event or just a weekend getaway! Daniel was amazing. I will never forget this one.

We had a wonderful stay at this location with our close friends. The accommodation was ideal for our large group, as each room had a full bathroom. The host was consistently responsive, and the lakeside location added to the experience. We'll definitely tell others about this place. Thanks for having us!

Our group had an absolute blast here! The home itself is stunning and no detail was spared. From the dock, kayaks, hot tube, movie room, etc. we were never bored. And of course you can't beat staying on the beautiful Lake Anna. Everyone was super responsive and helpful during our stay. We want to take all of the owners for hosting us and we will surely be back again!
