Our Thanksgiving family gathering at Hidden Cove was wonderful! The beautiful, spacious home and grounds located on the lake were perfect for our family. Five en suite bedrooms with lake vies gave us all the sleeping space we needed. We spent many hours in the main level kitchen and gathering area preparing and enjoying food, watching the Thanksgiving Day parade, playing games and comfortably enjoying each others company. We all had fun outdoors enjoying the fire pit, fishing dock, large play area and paddle board! Our host, Nick, was the best! He was east to communicate with throughout the booking process and during our stay. He answered all of our questions and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed!

A very nice stay at a very nice location. Would stay again.

Daniel's amazing home was perfect for our family vacation. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake, the well stocked kitchen and supplies, and the games/puzzles in this beautiful home. Daniel's thoughtfulness, responsiveness and overall communication make him the best host.
We hope we can visit again in warmer weather so we can enjoy the lake and all this home has to offer!

Blue Heron Hideaway is one of the best places to relax and appreciate nature. Daniel, the host, maintains the home impeccably clean and provides everything you need to have a truly unforgettable experience. Daniel was great at communicating with us from our arrival through our departure. Daniel is the best host we have ever experienced and we have been blessed to stay in his home.

Truly amazing house and amazing vacation spot on Lake Anna. This home is beautiful decorated with all the touches that one feels right at home. It is exceptionally clean and spacious and includes all high-end appliances. The owner's attention to details was noticed throughout the entire home.
Nick is a "great" VRBO host! He was very quick to respond w/ any questions and also very accommodating. He wants to share all he knows about the area!

We had an unforgettable stay!! This home is not only gorgeous but also had complete supplies and lots of activities :) We enjoyed the board games, foosball table, kayaks, and fire pit. There’s also a beach area where we got to swim :) The view of the lake from the living room is amazing! The kitchen is spacious, and we were all able to cook and share our meals together. Additionally, Daniel (the host) kept constant communication throughout our stay. He was very helpful and understanding, and made sure that we all had a good time. We would love to come here again, and we are definitely recommending this place to anyone we know!! :)

Thank you for a great weekend!! Blue Heron Hideaway was a wonderful house!! Brand new. Stocked with everything you could ever need and more!!! Very comfortable beds. Plenty of room. Beautifully decorated. We really appreciated and enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. We relaxed by the fire pit every night!!! Close to great hiking at the state park. We also enjoyed visiting the Lake Anna Taphouse and had a great dinner at Callie Opies Orchard. Daniel was a great host and we hope to be able to visit again sometime soon. Highly recommend!!

We have stayed at this beautiful home about 5 times! Need I say more? The home is beautifully decorated with all the touches that make you feel at home. And the owner is so nice and always available to answer questions or help with anything. We will already have our next two visits booked and cannot wait to return. I highly recommend this rental.

We loved Daniel’s place! It LITERALLY had everything we needed for a relaxing time away! We will definitely consider staying again.

The house was in a beautiful location and had plenty of amenities. It was well stocked and having boats were a perfect touch!

First of all, Nick has got to be the most generous, thoughtful, accommodating VRBO host I’ve had the pleasure to rent from. When he found out one of my family members has allergies, he went out of his way to make sure that ALL of the bedding was laundered in fragrance-free soap ahead of our visit, and he even provided fragrance-free soap for us to use during the visit. Questions I sent by email were answered within a few minutes, very thoroughly, with explanations, pictures and even a video link on managing the HVAC (Nest) should we need it. And he was amazingly gracious and flexible about check-in and check-out, accommodating a late schedule change. In all, just the very best host.

As for Hidden Cove, so many reviews comment on how perfectly lovely it is (agreed!) that I’ll just add some important details: My extended family rented 3 Lake Anna cottages for a mini-reunion, including another lovely home on the same loop drive, but this was everyone's favorite. The home felt very safe and private. I think one could laze in bed while watching the morning mist rise over the lake from any one of the 5 ensuite bedrooms. Lake views from every room, comfort, serenity, and privacy! The well stocked kitchen includes a top of the line large microwave and a baking oven, plus plenty of sharp prep knives(!), baking dishes, and decent pans. The house was exceptionally clean; the beautiful hardwood floors were pristine and I happily walked barefoot while inside. The counter stools were easy to move into the great room for a larger gathering, while multiple porches, patios, decks and sitting areas served for quiet conversations. The screened-in porch was especially nice with October’s transitional weather. Parking was ample, more than enough for 5 couples arriving separately. The daybed in the loft appears to be a full length twin. We didn’t use it but it would have been fine for an adult. The Food Lion nearby has plenty of good wares, so no need to stop at Trader Joe's in Richmond as I did. And Nick provided excellent recommendations on restaurants that we took advantage of. I could not have been happier the afternoon my siblings and I were visited by several young adult nieces and nephews and their significant others who proceeded to play cards and catch up with us around the dining table. What a perfect way for a family spread across 5 states and DC to reconnect! And the topper, the eldest senior of our party (me) even swam in the lake!

The house was wonderful! It was well stocked with any amenity that you might need. The location was perfect and felt private. Daniel was a great host who was very communicative and is a fast responder.

The house was stunning, private, and beautifully decorated. We used the canoes to stroll the lake, rented a boat, and fished. The views of the lake from the deck and shoreline were amazing. Daniel was always available to answer any questions before and during our stay. It was a perfect getaway!

Absolutely wonderful! The house was fully stocked with anything you could think to need. The water equipment was in great condition, and the house was situated on the perfect spot on the lake.
This house is a perfect weekend waiting to happen - just add guests and some food!
Daniel was also very responsive and checked in on us throughout our stay. He even sent over some suggestions of events happening in town and some restaurants to stop by! Cannot recommend enough.

SPECTACULAR stay! I rented the place for my honey to relax after returning from Italy so I could ease her back into the "real world" lol! Daniel's place was the perfect place to stay and she enjoyed it. From the moment you walk in the front door, the view of Lake Anna will pull you all the way to the deck and before you know it you will be relaxing on one of the chairs sipping a glass of Lake Anna wine! He has everything you will need during your stay except your clothes and groceries. There is a plethora of board games and outdoor water sport equipment (for the warm/hot stays). The kitchen is beautiful and you will want to make a gourmet meal just to use the stove. And don't forget the wine because there is a chiller waiting to get your wine at the perfect temperature. I can go on and on so I will stop now but just don't think twice, book now or you will miss out!

This property was perfect for me and my sisters weekend getaway. The drive in was peaceful and the entrance to the house was beautiful! Such a bright great room with plenty of natural light. The hosts really thought of everything! We watched movies and ate great food from a couple local restaurants. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning home with all the amenities you could ask for! Beautiful kitchen, plenty of space with 2 living rooms and 5 masters!!!! It’s perfect for multiple families or couples, get away when you need your space, come together in one of the living rooms or in the multitude of outdoor spaces. The dock fit our boat nicely and the community marina was easy to access. The host has excellent communication and wonderful to work with. We will be staying again soon!

WOW! This home is absolutely stunning. Beautiful views of the lake, water activities, extremely well stocked, comfortable beds, and the list goes on and on. I look forward to returning!

13 of us stayed in this house for a mom’s weekend getaway and had a fantastic time! The house was stocked with everything you can think of. The beds were great and even the bunks were spacious and comfortable! The view is beautiful and the weather was perfect so we were also able to enjoy the water! We would definitely stay here again!!
