We absolutely loved this home. The photos are beautiful, but it’s even more stunning in person-cozy, spacious, and lovely even in the winter. My friends and family took a short getaway from the busy DC area, and it was the perfect retreat. Daniel was incredibly responsive and attentive, which made the entire stay feel easy and well cared for. The home was clean, welcoming, and comfortably accommodated our group. A couple of helpful notes for future guests: if you’re staying with a large group (we had 12), the Wi-Fi can be quite slow, so plan accordingly if internet access is important. Also, there is a detailed checkout process with several items to keep in mind, including where things need to be placed and what goes in which bags, stripping sheets, towels etc-just something to be prepared for before departure. Overall, the home is absolutely beautiful, and the host’s friendliness and attentiveness truly stood out. A wonderful, cozy, and spacious stay that we’d happily recommend!

Spacious house with many games. We enjoyed pickleball in the driveway and paddling on the lake. Nice views of the lake through the large windows and from the large deck. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening,. The lot is large and in a nice gated community.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Daniel’s lakeside cottage. The home was spotless on arrival and beautifully decorated — modern yet cozy, with thoughtful touches throughout. The highlight for us was the stunning lake view from the living room — it’s even better than the pictures! The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped, making it easy to cook and enjoy meals together. Each bedroom had its own ensuite bathroom, which made the stay super comfortable for our group. The playroom with the ping pong table was a big hit, especially in the evenings. Outside, there were several lovely sitting areas to relax, enjoy a morning coffee, or take in the sunset over the water. Daniel was an excellent host — very responsive and proactive with communication, ensuring everything went smoothly from check-in to checkout. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful Lake Life retreat!!

Well appointed and beautiful lake house. The beds were more comfortable than expected and the space was very clean. We really enjoyed the game room and were able to hang out with our teenage children without the toddlers waking up from their sleep at night (because the game room is an upgraded garage). The private beach was a great way for the whole family to relax and enjoy the lake. We will definitely be coming back!

A Peaceful Retreat with Stunning Views! We had an amazing stay at this lake house! From the moment we arrived, the view of the lake took our breath away. The house was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The private dock was a huge bonus—we spent hours kayaking, fishing, and just enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Inside, the house had a modern charm with modern touches. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were super comfortable, and the living room was perfect for family game nights. We especially loved sitting on the porch in the mornings with coffee, watching the mist rise off the lake. The location was quiet and private, yet close enough to town for groceries or a quick bite to eat. The hosts were friendly and responsive, making check-in seamless and offering great local recommendations. If you're looking for a tranquil escape surrounded by nature, this is it. We’re already planning our next visit!

Fantastic place! One of the most well thought out rentals we have stayed at. Things like two different levels of pillow softness on the beds. Multiple blankets throughout. Loved that we could put the kids in the downstairs rooms with their own private game room and adults were upstairs. Proximity to private beach and amazing boat dock were unbeatable. We grabbed our boat from the Freedom Boat Club dock nearby and even docked up at the house after we were done boating to drop the kids off! So much fun! Lightening storms were beautiful looking out the giant A frame windows. Only suggestion for renters is to make sure you bring cooking basics like salt, pepper, oil with you if you intend to cook. Kitchen is well stocked with pans and utensils, but only had pepper. Other than that minor issue, A perfect home!

My family and I stayed at Lakeside Cottage for a week and it was fantastic! The property was simply beautiful and facilitated all of our activities. Every aspect is impeccably maintained, comfortable and private. The bedding was truly amazing - to the point where my husband and I searched every inch of the sheets and duvet for a tag so we could purchase them for our own home! I also cannot say enough kind things about our host, Daniel. He was immediately responsive for all our needs and questions! Would highly recommend!

Great location. Very nice home and property. Most spaces recently renovated. Well stocked kitchen. AC worked well even during a week of 90+ degree weather. Boat house/dock were great, spent most of the days swimming and fishing.

This house and our host could not have been better. We went down with a group of friends, rented a pontoon boat and relaxed with coffee on the rooftop deck at the dock every morning, it was a perfect few days. We would love to go back!

100% would recommend staying at this home. It was perfect size for 11 of us. The interior was beautiful and the views were incredible. The kids spent there days on the dock and lake paddle boarding and jumping off the dock, it was the highlight of their week. The main level was just fabulous for eating and chatting and just hanging out, loved the cohesiveness of the kitchen, dining room and living room. Lots of family games available to play that we took advantage of. Could definitely see ourselves making a repeat visit to this home. Host was amazing, quick to respond and very proactive in communicating with us clearly and concisely! The only "issue" we had was that the air was at times difficult to regulate. Very hot upstairs and very cold downstairs, but it did not deter from our fun. Lake Anna was absolutely beautiful!!

Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
