The Blue Heron is an absolutely stunning home on the lake in Mineral, Virginia. The home is beautifully furnished, and the amenities are over the top for a rental property. Loads of indoor toys and games for all ages, and water toys galore too. Our grandsons particularly liked the Pac-Man Arcade game in the upstairs den, and the foosball table downstairs. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for all, and baby equipment as well! Although it was March, the kids loved sitting on the sandy beach…summer renters must love it in warmer temps! Fishing right off the beach was so much fun too!Bottom line- this home will not disappoint. The owner is lovely to work with, and you will be hard pressed to find a more comfortable rental.

our family stayed at this lake house and it was an amazing experience. The house was well equipped with all the necessities you would need (coffee, toilet paper, paper towel towels, aluminum foil, etc). The access to the lake was what made our trip so enjoyable. Towels are provided for both the bath and the lake. Our kids truly enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and playing in the sand.
We brought our own fishing poles, and that helped entertain the family for hours. The theater room was fun and comfortable.

We would definitely stay here again when visiting like Anna

Everything we needed for a quiet getaway. Master bedroom has the most comfortable bed ever! Dimmable lights throughout the home is a really nice touch. Everything in working order and very clean.

Thank you for being a huge part of our annual weekend, again! This is our 3rd time at this house, and it is perfect. The owner is easy to coordinate with, the house is wonderful, and the location on the lake is, too. Thank you!

This home was so beautiful. So many games to play, so much to do on the lake. Lots of space for larger families. We picked this house to bring our families from all over the United States to come together each year, this year we picked The Lake House. This house had everything to accommodate everyone in our family. And the neighbors were so kind and helpful. The community is very nice and peaceful. The host we're so helpful and appreciated the quick responses to all our questions. We loved this rental so much. This home is great for kids and large families.. Everything works, spacious, they have everything to get you started. Many books to endure games to keep you busy all day long. Boaters out fishing. The roads in this area are perfect Riding on twos. I have to come back for summer just to see how much more fun this area is. Thank you for these great memories we will treasure.

We will definitely be returning! This is by far the nicest property we have stayed at and there are NO suggestions for improvements. This home felt like home but better. We gathered as a family and the open floor plan, the comforts, the gorgeous ammenities, the lake - all of it was simply AMAZING! We have already shared this location with extended family and they are visiting in May. The hosts were thorough and welcoming. Everything we needed was right there in the home. Again, we WILL be back! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Amazing house, breathtaking views!

Such a lovely gem of a home! It was the perfect size for our large group of friends, and full of activities. Everything was in pristine shape, and the private dock is somehow even easier to access than I expected — just a single set of steps down, and you pass the cute and secluded fire pit along the way. Other highlights include the (multiple!!) basketball hoop arcade setups, and the movie theater room is just as good as the photos convey. The front yard is huge, too, perfect for organized outdoor games like football and kickball.
The only minus I have is super trivial: the TVs in the home all had HDMIs but we couldn’t locate AV/S-Video ports, so there was no way to hook up the Wii we’d brought (for additional games like Mario Kart).
Big thanks to Daniel for a 5-star stay. We’re already chewing on returning to this exact spot.

Great house, wonderful for a large group! So much there that we didn’t even need to leave the house for the long weekend. Communication was great, we didn’t need anything during the stay and just was enjoying the time, but knew if we needed anything at all, we could reach out.

We had a great stay at this spacious Lake Anna home with our extended family. It easily accommodates 30+ guests, and we loved the lakefront location and provided kayaks. The house was well-stocked with kitchen essentials, and the two large fridges, dishwashers, and EV charger were a huge plus.
However, there were some issues. The water pressure in most bathrooms was very low. Also, a major safety concern was an unsecured mirror on the dresser in the queen bedroom—my 3-year-old nephew knocked it over, and I got cut while preventing it from hitting him. This needs to be fixed.
Some cons: The 10 AM checkout is too early for such a large house. Packing up and completing required chores—taking out trash, stripping beds and gathering linens, loading the dishwasher, etc.—took 1.5 hours. An 11 AM checkout would be much more reasonable and would help guests complete everything properly.
Overall, a great home, but the safety issue and early checkout policy should be addressed.
